Big thanks to Connie Dai Photography for allowing us to share these gorgeous photos. Oh be sure to take a peek at a little peek in the full gallery right here and how could I not mention how Jason proposed Anne. It’s really lovely, so be sure to take a peek. I hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far. I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to/have planned , happy sunny day everyone! xo
On a recent trip to NYC, Jason and I spent a beautiful day with my best friend Debbie and her friend Adeel, eating cheesecake and people-watching. We strolled across the Brooklyn Bridge to the far end of a little park, where the setting sun was floating just above the city skyline. Debbie took a picture of us and then I stepped back to look around… all of a sudden, I realized that Jason was down on one knee. Within 30 seconds, I spun through a range of emotions, feeling shocked, then thrilled, then intensely sentimental because this man wanted to spend the rest of his life with me.
December will be our 5-year anniversary, and though I had known we were heading down this road, I had no clue that he had purchased a ring and was secretly planning this out with my best friend. On top of that, we were in my favorite city, on a day with gorgeous weather, with the most stunning New York skyline as the backdrop… perfect everything! In the Harry Potter series, Harry wins the Felix Felicis (or “Liquid Luck”), which is a potion he drinks to create his perfect day… that pretty much sums this up.
Our engagement session took place back home in Orlando. Connie and Brad flew in from Denver, and it was such a precious detail to be photographed by a fun-loving couple who knew us so well. The shoot was delightful, as we simply laughed all afternoon and hung out with my future sister-in-law. Leu Gardens originally entranced us with its old Southern trees and it’s natural beauty, and on the day of the shoot, the weather, the setting sun, and the low hanging branches all came together in harmony to provide another perfect backdrop.
Everything surrounding our engagement has been so wonderful. I feel incredibly loved and lucky to know such talented people, and of course, to have Jason be my forever.
