Happy Friday Friends! We’re feeling in luxurious mood today and for that reason made us wanted to create a romantic yet still modern palette for opulent brides. What’s the first colour that comes to mind? The answer was Gold ,of course! Then added soft tone such as tan, vanilla and an old world feel with a powerful rich blues. This wedding palette would work for a glamorous wedding in an opulent ballroom or castle wedding.
Opulent Blue and Gold Wedding Theme
Wedding Dress : The bride’s gown was by Jenny Yoo, feminine designs, elegance, romance and subtle glamour. With open back stunning lace embroidery and beaded details with layers of lace appliqué detailing give the dress an air of femininity.
Wedding Dinner wear : If you rent special china instead of using the caterer’s basic white plates, this is a great place to bring in your motif. Chances are that someone out there will have plates with your chosen design on them. You could also consider having your design done on the dinner napkins or napkin rings to layer over more simple china, such as plates with an elegant gold border.
Wedding Cake : is another great place to feature your motif. Cakes these days are much more than dessert; they are a statement making showpiece. This makes your wedding cake an ideal place to highlight your opulent motif. A sparkling gold wedding cake adorned with gold sugar florals. We love those petite gold mini cake creations that you could put for each guest place setting, which will complete the tablescape design.
Wedding invitations : When it comes to designing your wedding stationery suite. Use gold sprinkle confetti details on the top of your invitations and use gold glitter lettering details. Then use dark blue for envelopes. Finally, use a wax seal to close the invitation that features the same design. From the minute that your guests pull your invitation from the mailbox, they will get a sense of your opulent theme.

I love the navy and gold accents. For my wedding I also included claret/burgundy red.
