I know it’s only middle of September but my mind has been on the changing seasons since beginning of September and can’t wait till Halloween. My favorite part of Autumn to have fun with my children! Having and planning a Halloween themed wedding is a lot of fun and it will be an unforgettable experience for everyone. For couples who enjoy Halloween, love to have a laugh, and don’t like conventional affairs, this is a perfect theme. They are so many Halloween wedding themes to choose from such as Halloween Blockbusters, the Adams Family,Romeo and Juliet,a masquerade party and devilish brides etc. With some creativity, advanced planning and a whimsical imagination, you can have the perfect non-traditional wedding.
Halloween Wedding Theme
The most classic way to design a Halloween wedding is to really take the theme of the holiday and run with it. So for Today i take you wedding inspiration we have brought it back to wedding — elegance and sophistication Halloween wedding theme, which both celebrates the spirit of the holiday and retains the feeling of a wedding. These are some ideas on how to have an elegant and sophisticated Halloween wedding.
Wedding Dress
Halloween wedding dresses actually are more stylish and designed from detail to detail. While a conventional wedding gown consists of beads and laces, the details of the gown must be appropriate with the theme.
If you want to wear a white dress, you can still incorporate the theme into your gown by having a fall colored or black ribbon on the waist of the dress. If you are adventurous and willing to step way outside of the norm, wear a stunning ball gown in black for the ceremony or have a black gown to change into for the ceremony.
Bridesmaids
The bridesmaids can either wear black or the accent colour would be great. A black dress with a small colour accent ribbon can provide just the right amount of color to go with the theme of the day. Custom bridesmaid jewelry in black crystal or black pearl. Or if your attendants are wearing black bridesmaid dresses, custom jewelry in a rich red would be a stylish detail.
The groom and groomsmen
The groom and groomsmen can wear a traditional black tuxedo with a fall colored tie, bow tie, and/or cummerbund.
Wedding Favours
Choosing the wedding favours for a Halloween theme is about as easy as you can get. Create a trick or treat bag for each guest by using cellophane party bags filled with plastic toys and candy, use miniature coffins filled with candy, fill small witches cauldrons with candy pumpkins, or make decorative masks for each guest to wear. You can give each person a Halloween themed bag or jar filled with orange and black jelly beans, or just let them fill them on their own at the candy bar on their way out.
Halloween Wedding decoration
Tall black candelabras with black or dark red taper candles would look magnificent on the dinner tables for a Halloween wedding. Dark red roses like Black Magic or flowers in a white or deep purple would be the perfect complement to the black candelabras. You can have the flowers dripping off of the candelabras or surrounding them in vases with a Gothic flair. Either way, the results will be impressive.
Food & Cake to Die For
Have a buffet or a barbecue that includes ribs and chicken or you can have an elegant sit-down dinner that still brings some of the fall season foods into the meal, such as a spiced pumpkin soup or souffle. The wedding cake could be a devils food cake or, for a “bloody” effect, serve a red velvet cake. Have a dessert table and candy buffet that includes candy apples, caramel apples, popcorn balls, cupcakes with plastic spider rings on top, and bowls of Halloween candy. Use a Halloween themed cake topper designed to look like bride and groom skeletons. Have several skeletons, pumpkins, spiders and spider webs placed around the food table and placed strategically around the cake. Use more of the “fun” elements of Halloween rather than the grotesque or scary to keep the atmosphere lighthearted.
Keep in mind that Halloween themed weddings are meant to be a fun time for the bride and groom as well as their guests.
