Happy Monday everyone and hope your weekend was great! We have the most gorgeous & romantic bridal inspiration shoot to start the week off today.
What do wedding photographers dream about when they aren’t helping make clients’dreams come true? Photographer Lara Lam shared a project that came out of her own dream for the perfect bridal photo shoot. Lara says, “I am always dreaming about old castles and mythical romance depicted in paintings and literature. This bridal inspiration shoot shows a lot of my personal aesthetic vision and passion.”
Taking advantage of a little-known venue in the heart of Hollywood, Lara and her team set up their shoot at the Hollywood Castle, a luxurious palatial estate designed to recreate the old world look and charm of historic European castles. Lara expert eye framed every photo in such a way that we feel like we are gazing on intimate moments in a bride’s journey from the pre-ceremony boudoir preparations to the sun setting after saying “I do.”
The photo shoot provides us with enough inspiration to want to book our next event in a quaint French villa, and order a Coralie Beatrix French vintage style gown, as we see in the photos. It’s effortless silk drape effect in stonewashed blue makes the bride look every bit the role of a princess in her palace.
The charcoal blue shades bring out the natural hues of the castle stonework and landscaping. The place settings and calligraphy in gold bring an elegant richness to the palette, reinforcing the regal feel of this entire shoot. We are so happy to share with you the editorial photos from Lara Lam Photography!

Who says your “something blue” can’t be your wedding cake? This light blue wedding cake by Amor Bakery was decorated with fresh roses in shades of vanilla and white looked impeccable on vintage styled cake stand.
