Summer is one of the most popular times for weddings, and it is a season of joy and celebration. If I could dream up one word to describe summer, it would be “vibrant.” Most summer weddings call for bright, vibrantly colored flowers rather than pastels. Today let us bring the wonderful feeling of summer to your wedding with a beautiful Summer wedding palette that we’ve included those lovely summer wedding flower ideas in our palette.

Summer has an abundance of stunning flowers to choose from when choosing your wedding flowers. Whether you want you wedding to have masses of colour, be a classic white, or something in between, you’ll be able to find the flowers for you. Here are just some of the blooms you can pick in summer.
Roses : The rose is an ever popular choice for wedding floral arrangements, whether it’s summer, winter, spring, or autumn. With the ability to create a chic, stylish feel or a more relaxed, country garden feel, depending on the theme of you wedding. This blush pink roses arrangement created such an elegant look for an English country garden wedding.

Bold & Bright Summer Wedding Ideas
Summertime is the best time for an outdoor setting. Places like gardens, a beautiful park or a beach are ideal for a wedding. It might be a good idea to celebrate the wedding in the afternoon, when it isn’t so hot anymore; take advantage of the beautiful flora, which surround you during the celebration. The nature gives you and your guests the right atmosphere for an unforgettable day.

Wedding Cake
Bring the wonderful feeling of summer to your wedding with a great wedding cake. Summer is a season known for its fabulous flowers. You can have your cake accented with summer blooms in either a neutral palette, like white with a touch of yellow or pink; if your style is a little bolder, choose bright and cheerful flowers. You can either use fresh flowers or have your baker create sugar flowers. For a fondant cake, flowers like gerbera daisies would look fresh and modern. On a buttercream cake, think about summer favorites such as hydrangea. And for a naked Victoria sponge cake use bright flowers such as Dahlia, cornflowers or sunflowers and summer fruits.

Wedding lawn games
Love these. This avoids people sitting getting bored or just standing around.

Lawn games like croquet, bocce ball, beanbag toss and horseshoes are simple to set up and easy for kids and adults to play during cocktail hour and after dinner. Not a bad idea when there’s a big gap between wedding & reception.

Those blooms and naked wedding are to die for!
Wow! Such a kaleidoscope of colours here! I love your wedding bouquet suggestions. I have never seen sweet peas used in bridal bouquets before, they look gorgeous mixed in with the peonies. It’s probably a great way to make a bouquet like this more affordable too.
The mix and match elements of the wildflowers are such a big wedding trend in the past few years. They really do give a relaxed country vibe to the day. I am delighted that you showcased them here as not every floral display has to be formal. I love the idea of the ‘naked wedding cake’ then with the summer blooms cascading down the side, it is so modern and eye-catching. Thanks for sharing your ideas!
Jeff.
